Cyberlink Powerdirector 12 Only

CyberLink PowerDirector 365 Essential. Create awesome high-quality videos like the pros - quickly and easily. PowerDirector is the only editor you’ll need, with an intuitive interface designed for anyone wanting to create amazing videos. No matter your skill level you can deliver professional-quality results with Hollywood-style effects. Aug 28, 2020 Step 2. Select the output format. Click the Profile bar, and move mouse cursor to 'Editing Software' and then choose 'MPEG-2' as the output format. The output video will keep the original quality of MP4 video and seamlessly fit PowerDirector 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 and more. Tip: Click 'Settings' button, then you will enter the following interface.

-- I imported some video files to test and I found that with some of the files the audio is not recognized by PD10. Document number on drivers license california. Files imported included .avi (worked fine) and .mov (some worked but others had no audio). All the the .mov files that did not have audio were created with a Casio ZR100.
-- I just upgraded from cyberlink power director 12 to 13 and now all my black magic camera footage '.mov files' wont work in either versions. I've contacted customer support they said the files are no good, but i had them working in 12 before..? Can i convert them to another file type if so what would suit?

Cyberlink PowerDirector is a powerful video editing suite and MOV file format seems one of PowerDirector supported native video formats for import. But the weird thing is that PowerDirector will reject to import some .mov files created by iPhone, GoPro, Canon camera, DJI drone, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and more. The error message goes like, 'an unsupported format', 'the file is broken', 'protected video content'. Or PowerDirector only imports audio from MOV files for you. You can only add the MOV video to the timeline of PowerDirector as an audio track, instead of a video track.

Why some certain MOV video files cannot be imported in PowerDirector?

Reason 1: Your PowerDirector version is tool old to support the MOV files.

Analysis: The supported file formats depend on the version of CyberLink PowerDirector you have installed on your computer. So, if you're using an old version, please upgrade it to the newest version.

Reason 2: Your MOV files are corrupted.

Analysis: You can check whether your MOV file can be recognized and played properly using other programs. If not, repair it using a professional video repair tool.

Reason 3: Some required codec is missing so that the file format is not supported.

Analysis: This is the main cause for 'PowerDirector MOV file import error'. PowerDirector supports MOV files, but MOV is a multimedia container format which contains various types of data encoded using one of several different codecs. A MOV file can use MPEG-4, MJPEG, H.264, HEVC, GoPro CineForm, or other video codec for compression. To import MOV files successfully, CyberLink PowerDirector needs to be compatible with the specific codecs used in the MOV files. If not, you'll experience MOV importing error. One possible solution is to download and install certain codec packs, e.g. K-Lite Codec Pack, and sometimes this way will work.

Note:Installing a codec pack on your video editing computer may permanently mess it up unless you know what you are doing where most people who think they know what they are doing really don't. Just don't do it, there is never a need for it. Only install the one codec that you need from a reputable source. Installing a codec pack is like taking every pill in your medicine cabinet hoping one of them will cure you… one of the might but the rest could kill you!

100% Working Solution - Transcode Unrecognized MOV File to a Fully PowerDirector-Compatible Format

If you can't find the useful codec packs, then transocding MOV file is the the most effective yet easiest solution recommended by us. To do this, you can try this easy-to-use yet powerful tool - EaseFab Video Converter. This program features high efficiency and seamless conversion. It is able to work with various MOV files, no matter what codecs are wrapped in and no matter what devices record. To solve the MOV or other incompatible issues, you're suggested to download and install EaseFab Video Converter on your PC or Mac computer first.

Preparation: Free Download EaseFab Video Converter to Convert MOV to Editing-Friendly Codec

EaseFab Video Converter - One Stop Video Processing Tool for PowerDirector and NLEs

Cyberlink powerdirector 12 crack

◆ Support 420+ formats, from MOV to the latest AV1
◆ Transode media files to PowerDirector-compatible codec and format
◆ Easy editing experience: cut, crop, merge, stabilize, remove fisheye distortion
◆ Support 3-level GPU acceleration to relieve the burden from CPU

How to convert problematic MOV to PowerDirector supported codec/format

Iskysoft imedia converter deluxe for mac zippyshare. The below guide takes Video Converter for Windows screenshots for example.

Step 1. Download and launch EaseFab Video Converter on Windows PC or Mac. Click Add Video to import your MOV video. Dev21 untuk ps2 to usb. Dragging and droppping works too. (Note: batch conversion is supported, so you can several mov videos to the program to convert at a time.)

Step 2. Click the Profile bar at the bottom. Choose a format preset that PowerDirector can support. And MOV (h264+aac) from Editing Software category is recommended since the output MOV H.264 files can preserve image quality with the smallest file size. You can also choose MPEG-2 or WMV as the output file.

If you want to preserve the highest image quality, you can also select Final Cut Pro (Apple ProRes 422 encoded MOV file) as the output. Please not that the Apple ProRes files can make your editing process simpler and less resource-intensive but it typically need ten times as much storage. Moreover, only the newer PowerDirector version can support Apple ProRes MOV files.

Step 3. Hit Convert and it will begin fast video decoding, conversion and processing your MOV video at one go.

After the conversion, click 'Open Folder' icon to locate the result videos. Start up Cyberlink PowerDirector 18/365 OR lower version, follow 'Open Folder' > 'Import Media Files' to import the converted MOV files without any trouble.

I just read a thread on this forum entitled, 'Power Director 12 Ultimate stopped working'. According to BIGGBryan, he received a message from PD technical support stating that PD12 will only work with Windows 8.1 and lower.
I think this is important information for anyone using an older version of PD and suggest that it be added as a permanent note at the top of this forum. Regards,
Dan

Aug. 14, 2015 01:55 Not to discount your report, but I find that hard to believe, though I cannot verify with PD12. It would be enlightening to hear why.
I see in your other post that right-clicking the PD12.exe file, clicking on the COMPATIBILITY tab and selecting Win 8 or 7 did not succeed. That is an interesting finding, considering that basic use of PD11 appears to work well in W10.

I'm afraid I can't contribute intelligently. I'm just reporting what another member reported regarding their communication from PD tech support. If PD tech support says that PD12 is not compatible with Windows 10, however, I'm inclined to believe them. Even if it I'm not happy about it.. Regards,
Dan

Aug. 14, 2015 05:12 That is an interesting post from BIGBryan. I held off updateing AMD drivers and the Win10 upgrade for more than a week to allow the Cyberlink engineers to look into my system. Users of all versions of PD are reporting compatibility problems but some report no problems at all. I may not upgrade to win 10 for a while until I see the right answers. Attached is a screenshot showing 0 incompatibilities on my pc and a screenshot from the Windows Compatibility Center showing that PD12 is compatible.
I will be checking out someones pc with PD12 which had win 8.1 before upgrading to win 10. Will report on it after testing it out.

Aug. 14, 2015 10:17 I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro x64 from Windows 8.1 Pro and PowerDirector 12 works correctly on my system, apart from having no hardware accelerated video output from my AMD HD 7750 discrete graphics card. Accelerated effects do seem to function ok, so I'm guessing that Open CL works fine, as it does in Lightroom 6 and DXO Optics Pro.
If I switch the BIOS over to use internal graphics from the i5 4590 CPU, then Intel Quick Sync hardware acceleration is usable for video encoding. It's a shame that there is no switch within PD12 (or 13) as there is in Handbrake, to use Quick Sync even when another discrete graphics card is primary.
I have tried the trial version of PD13 and the situation regarding encoding acceleration is the same, though I don't know if the latest PD13 patch addresses this. If upgrading to 13 changed this, I guess I would pay, but until this is confirmed I will sit and wait, outputing all my videos using SVRT to .mts files and then putting them through Handbrake using Quick Sync for more compressed MP4s.
AMD driver is 15.7.1 x64
PS Just checked my HP Pavilion laptop, which came with PD12 and uses Intel HD 4400 graphics and this was upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Home (x64) and PD12 works without any issues.

Good to know. I'll probably hold off purchasing PD13 until I've had a chance to try PD12 with Windows 10. I'm in no hurry to migrate to the latter..too close to the 'bleeding edge' for me at the moment. Regards,

Aug. 15, 2015 05:22 JamesUK1 - Are the AMD 15.x drivers required for Windows 10 or do you know if the previous driver which enable HA can be used ??
I just checked out someone's HP envy : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-2-in-1-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-12gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-natural-silver-black/3008123.p?id=1219567192721& .The OS had been upgraded to windows 10. Took some of my own 1080/60i and 1080/60p files to test the Cyberlink PD12 in it. PD12 is fine editing 720p cell phone videos, got green preview screen with my 1080p videos until I unchecked enable hardware decoding. Edited, added transitions, and produced the 1080p60 video with and without hardware encode.
Test of 1 minute produced 1080p60 video @28Mbps below:
1 min. 19 sec. with hardware encode
2 min. 7 sec. with hardware encode unchecked.
Too bad I never checked it when it had win 8.1 but PD12 definitely works with the upgraded win 10 on this laptop.

I have just installed the AMD Catalyst 14.4 release for Windows 8.1 and below (which isn't a simple procedure if you already have a later driver installed) and PD12 works fine, including hardware encoding and Windows itself appeared stable.
Unfortunately this appears to break Open CL, as neither Lightroom 6 nor DXO Optics Pro enable Open CL acceleration under that driver. The reason I chose that earlier driver version, is that Lightroom/Photoshop acceleration does not work with some later Windows 8.1 AMD drivers (as stated by Adobe), though it does now with the initial Windows 10 driver.
So, you takes your choice. Working PD12 encode acceleration, or working Open CL with other programs.
It does appear that it isn't just a basic 'video driver' issue, as once I had installed the video driver only from 14.4, I still had no encode accleration. It was only after I then installed the catalyst package from 14.4, including the transcoder package that appears in the checklist of options in the installer, that PD 12s's encoder accleration was enabled. This part of the package does not seem to feature in the 15.7.1 AMD installation, so this could be at the heart of the problem

I have PD12 and 13 running on Win10 with no issues. As you can see in my specs (below) I've got an Intel CPU and nVidia GPU so the Catalyst issues haven't affected me.

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum and have been using PD8 for some years on a Win7 machine.
I recently added PD12 and all seemed to be working well.
Then I purchased a new PC running the Win10 OS and found that PD12 would not load from my disc showing an error code:1628.
Tech Support confirmed that PD12 was not compatible with Win10 as you have previously stated.
However I did load my old PD8 successfully (from disc) and have now managed to download PD12 from the Cyberlink website and that to seems to be working OK now albeit I seem to be getting the 'green-screen' thing going on.
Can someone shed some light on the whys and wherefores of this issue and are the Tech Guys just following a marketing policy? Thanks for any help offered.

Need some clarification here. Did you mean you successfully installed both PD8 and PD12 in your new win 10 pc?
If they are both installed on your win 10 pc and you mean that you get the green preview screen then I already answered that in a different post earlier. Go the preferences/hardware acceleration and uncheck enable hardware decoding. That fixed it on PD12 on a pc running win 10.
Let us know if this fixes the problem on your pc. Antworten

Hi Tomasc,
Sorry, I am new to this thread and haven't read all the posts.
I did manage to load both PD8 & 12 to my new Win10 PC.
PD8 from disc and PD12 from a Cyberlink download (the disc would not load).
Your fix seems to have worked perfectly on my first test video.
Thanks you very much, I appreciate the help.
Best regards,
Chris Thanks for any help offered.

Yes. See my last post.
I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 in July and there were no issues with PD. I also have PD14 running now, so 12-14 are good on Win10

Yes, I saw that you had gone from 8.1 to 10. I just wanted to make sure that going from 7 to 10 would work (I'm not terribly computer savvy, so I tend to be cautious before updating..). Thanks! Regards,

Sure, caution is a good thing!
Going from 7 to 10 shouldn't be a problem for you. It's possible you'll need some new drivers and you might need to reinstall a couple of programs, but almost everything is done automatically.

I have PD12. Used it fine last fall and haven't used it since. Today I cannot even find it! It is installed on the list of programs but I cannot find how to access it. I cannot find the original link to re install it either. When I go to the cyberlink home page, look up my products all I see are updates. I tried the lastest one and this dosen't load properly..saying I don't have the right version.
I think I need to uninstall and reinstall it..but, I don't know why!! Deborah Babin-Artist

As with any chosen upgrade you need to learn to navigate those tiles or use the classic desktop. This has nothing to do with powerdirector. Try this: Touch the windows key and type cyber and hit the enter key and you'll find it.
Let us know if this helps.

I've gotten a green screen ever since I updated PD 12 from Windows 8 to Windows 10 o/s. I just found a reference on the forum that fixed my problem:
Under Preferences, uncheck the 'Enable hardware decoding'.
Apply it and check it out.
I've been stumped for months. Today, this method worked for me.
Thank you everyone!
best wishes,
